The students read and read the poem ‘ Church-going’ in groups and pairs. They guessed the meanings of difficult words from the context, and then rechecked those with the help of a dictionary. They presented their findings on the theme, style and structure of the poem at the end of group discussions. The discussions also helped them to modify and edify their thoughts in the poem.
